Recent and Upcoming Projects
Johnny appeared as Leo in the workshop production of the new musical Nancy Drew: The Mystery at Spotlight Manor,performing alongside Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita and Will Swenson. The project was directed by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner James Lapine with music direction by Emmy Award winner and Grammy-nominated Michael “Koz” Kosarin, and features a score by EGOT winner Alan Menken with lyrics by Olivier Award winner Nel Benjamin and a book byAcademy Award winner Sarah Kernochan.
Johnny will be performing the role of Ozzie in a concerted version of On the Town by Leonard Bernstein. The production will be in conjunction with NYU Steinhardt’s Broadway orchestra, led by Tony Award winning conductor Ted Sperling, on April 30th.
On April 10th at 8:00pm and April 11th at 3:00pm, Johnny will appear as Modern Major General Stanley in W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. This reimagined production is part of NYU’s Spring 2026 Main Stage season, directed by Jonathan Eaton with music direction by Josh Rosenblum. You can get tickets here!
